I had to get my 2 great pyrenees from Dayton Texas to Seattle Washington and these guys came in to save the day! Doug showed up and you could instantly see how much he loves and cares for animals, my dogs acted like he was an old friend the moment they met him. My girl is almost 200lbs and my boy is 164lbs, Doug and Dani and no issues in working with me and were very patient and kind the whole time. Doug sent pictures along the way and was always updating me with progress updates, he even showed up in Seattle a day earlier than expected! I highly recommend these guys and I'm so happy we reached out to them! I don't ever leave reviews but I feel very compelled to share my experience with Alaska Pet Movers. There was a family emergency that my husband and I decided the best option was to move home. I had a week to get myself, everything we own and my dog all the way to Alaska. I didn't even know where to start, but I did know one thing I would not allow my dog to fly. Personal preference I don't agree with the way it's done. So that was ahead huge concern because driving wasn't an option so I didn't know what to do. After researching for a few hours Alaska Pet Movers kept coming up. Nothing but good reviews, solid legit business. I have never had my dog driven somewhere, especially a week to 10 day drive without me. Im sure every dog owner feels this way, letting someone else care for my dog or leaving him feels like a piece of my heart I'm letting go into the world. So this was a very huge thing as I'm sure it is for a majority of people. Doug came to pick my boy up and I was sobbing. I was very stressed with everything I was dealing with and the last thing I wanted to do was hand my dog over to a stranger. As soon as I started talking to Doug I felt so much more calm and by the time they were driving away I was smiling and feeling so unbelievably grateful. My lab seemed to warm up to Doug fairly quick. He's a nervous boy and does not do very well with people and especially men. So this was very reassuring. Doug sent me many updates and pictures. I usually didn't even need to reach out he was very on it. I think around Colorado, Doug and Dani switched. Dani was very pleasant and was on it with the pictures and updates as well. Finally the day came when Dani let me know they would be arriving that same day. My labs travel conditions seemed very cozy and nice for the long hours they were driving. They made sure to accommodate his every need. Ensuring he was eating, going to the bathroom ok and anything else I was stressed about with him. I felt like I could breathe. They just gave the impression and feeling of people who would treat your baby as if they were their own. It not only helped me to get stuff done and focus on moving everything else, but I was comforted knowing my boy was on his way home to family as I was tying up some loose ends. I think this entire experience was textbook of what a dog owner could hope and pray for. I know these are their jobs, but they easily go above and beyond. I have an appreciation for these people I could never put into words. Especially with what was going on with our family, I'm not sure they will ever know how special and how much of a blessing what they do is. I will not only recommend them to people, but I'm keeping their contacts if I ever need them again. As I mentioned before I never leave reviews, ever let alone one this long. The Alaska Pet Movers team were excellent with taking care of our dog with his arrival to Denver. I used Alaska Pet Movers (Doug and Dani) to transport my mom's two Chow Chows from rural Alaska to Northern California to help with her relocation to be near family. They did an amazing job and I highly recommend them. They sent many photos along the trip and I envied the dogs on their cross country adventure including a ferry trip. We used Alaska Pet Movers in March to get our two dogs (70 lbs and 95 lbs) from Decatur, Illinois all the way to Eielson AFB, Alaska and honestly, I don’t know what we would have done without them. Our duty location changed last minute, the ferry to Anchorage wasn’t running until April/May, we had no vehicle to make the drive ourselves, and our kennels were too big for most flights into Alaska. From the very beginning, they were quick to respond, incredibly kind, and clearly cared about our dogs. They sent us photos throughout their trip, which helped my anxiety a bit. They drove our pups from Decatur to Seattle, booked their flight from Seattle to Anchorage, and then drove from Anchorage toward Eielson. When they didn’t have a large enough rental vehicle available to fit the kennels, they checked in the kennels with the airline and arranged for them to fly to Fairbanks so we could pick them up. The airline did lose two kennel bowls and a bed, but that was on the airline. Our dogs arrived safe, happy, and looking like they had a pretty good adventure. It was pricey, but honestly, they made an incredibly stressful PCS so much easier. The peace of mind alone was worth it.
